With the holidays upon us, home is at the forefront of our plans and thoughts.
I’ve got the song “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” playing in my head as I’m writing this. :)
As a real estate company, we have the privilege of helping people find and create their home. What an honor! I’ve been thinking about this and realizing that this isn’t just a job or a way to make a living—it’s truly a calling. I can honestly say it doesn’t feel like work, and being a part of this process brings me great joy.
Home is where we go to rest. Home is where we feel safe, connected, and free to be ourselves. It’s where we can dream, be excited, feel sad, and process grief or heartbreak. Finding this place is actually a big deal.
I recently read a book from a fellow Side partner titled The Pursuit of Home. It’s essentially a guide for homebuyers. I’ll be honest—when I first started reading, it took me a bit to get into it, but as it went on, it really got me thinking about what an honor and privilege it is to be part of this journey and to help match homes with families.
He explores the different types of homebuyers and the many ways people enter homeownership. He calls his approach the “Magnetic Method,” and it all rings true with how we do things at Jump Living.
Sometimes you have to let your home find you. Colorado—and especially the Colorado foothills—offers so many unique homes and lifestyles. As much as you might plan and believe you know what you want, there might be something even better out there waiting for you.
